Early access · now piloting on Kantech EntraPass
Office access control, upgraded: phone unlock and exit tracking on the system you already own.
GateStride upgrades the access control in your suite instead of replacing it. Staff open doors with their phone, you see who has left the building without anyone swiping out, and you stop paying per person and per badge to run it.
An add-on, not a dependency. If GateStride is ever offline, your existing access control keeps working exactly as before.
- No rip-and-replace
- Locks, egress & fire release untouched
- No biometrics by default
- Installed by licensed local integrators

No more card swipe.
The credential lives in the phone’s secure chip. As people walk up, the door node verifies it over Bluetooth and opens through your existing panel — nothing to tap, print or hand back.
- Phone, watch or tablet, each with its own key
- Invite to enroll, one click to revoke
- Keeps working if the internet is down
Know who left — without anyone swiping out.
Card systems log people coming in, not going out, because exits release freely. GateStride records who left from the phone they carry, so you always know who is still inside.
- Live who’s-inside list for every site
- One-tap roll call at the muster point
- First-in, last-out and hours, exportable
Stop paying per person to open a door.
GateStride connects to your system as a single integration user and manages your people itself, so staff who move to phone access stop adding per-user credential fees — and nobody needs a badge printed.
- No per-seat growth as you hire
- No badges to buy, replace or chase
- No rip-and-replace project
Keep your locks, egress and certifications exactly as they are.
GateStride sits on top of your access-control system. It reads that system’s events and calls its own unlock — so your doors, fire-safety, request-to-exit and UL certifications never change. One small server in the comms room, one node at the door, and you’re live.
Our own Kantech never knew who left. Now it does.
When our founder, Tom Jin, rented our office in Spring, Texas, the previous tenant had left a 4-door Kantech system behind. The hardware looked good, so we kept it: we read the panel, called Kantech for an installer and started with cards. Then the daily problem showed up — people waved cards and wallets at the reader to get in, but nobody badged out, so the system never recorded who left. With the GateStride phone app, exits are identified and nobody waves a card any more. Every reader, lock and controller is still the original.

Enroll a phone
Send an invite; the employee’s phone generates a key and binds it. The private key never leaves the device’s secure element.
Walk up to the door
A node at the door runs an encrypted challenge-response over Bluetooth and unlocks through your existing panel — all decided locally.
See everything
The center shows live occupancy, entries and exits, attendance and a tamper-evident audit — across every door and site.
Everything that falls out of knowing who’s in and who left.
Hands-free unlock
Phone, watch or tablet — each device carries its own key.
Exit tracking
The missing half of every access log, finally recorded.
Live occupancy
A real-time, accurate headcount of who is inside, by site.
Fire muster roll call
One tap produces the list of who to account for in an evacuation.
Attendance & reports
First-in / last-out and hours, exportable to CSV.
Multi-site & multi-tenant
One app, many companies — each with its own keys and branding.
Built to the standard a door deserves.
- Keys stay on the phone. The private key is created and held in the device’s secure element (StrongBox / Secure Enclave) and never leaves it.
- Local challenge-response. Unlocking is a signed exchange at the door; the central server is never in the real-time path.
- Works offline. Door nodes keep verifying from a cached, signed credential set when the network is down.
- Credentials encrypted at rest. Links to the underlying system are stored encrypted and never exposed through the interface.
- Tamper-evident audit. Every security event is hash-chained, so any change to the record is detectable.
- Privacy-first, no biometrics by default. GateStride uses device credentials and person detection — not facial recognition. Face recognition is optional, off by default, and supported only where it is legally compliant and you choose to enable it.
More income from the sites you already service.
Sell an upgrade instead of waiting for a replacement. No rip-out and no re-certification — a node at the door, resale margin per site, and the customer stays yours, on the hardware you installed instead of a new cloud platform.
